Crochet Chicago Flag Scarf

My customers always come up with the most amazing ideas. That is why I was thrilled when a customer emailed me about having a scarf made to look similar to the Chicago flag. She was very specific in her directions, which was great. The easiest part was getting the scarf itself made.

Now all I had to do was add the stars. Easier said than done. I literally crocheted a dozen different stars using several different types of yarn. None of them met my satisfaction. Then I decided to use red felt. While it was easy to cut, it’s not so easy to sew onto crochet! But the end results is definitely worth all the work!

I am hopeful that there will be many more creative challenges ahead!!
